At just 12 years old, Abdinajib Mohamud was living with constant shortness of breath and extreme fatigue that limited even the simplest activities of childhood. A 6-month-old baby girl named Habiba Mohamed was brought to Kalkaal Cardiothoracic and Vascular Center with alarming symptoms—poor feeding, failure to gain weight, and repeated chest infections that had disrupted her early months of life.
